PCB Remediation

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were widely used in various industrial and commercial applications due to their chemical stability, non-flammability, and insulating properties. Some of the most common uses of PCBs included electrical equipment, hydraulic fluids, heat transfer fluids, plasticizers, adhesives and sealants, paints and coatings, and flame retardants.

Despite their widespread utility, the production of PCBs was banned in many countries starting in the late 1970s due to their environmental persistence and potential health hazards, including cancer and adverse effects on the immune, reproductive, nervous, and endocrine systems.

With over 40 years of experience, Yankee is an industry leader in the remediation of PCBs from contaminated materials or environments. We are Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trained, and can provide highly cost-effective solutions for PCB removal.

Yankee has the expertise required for even the most challenging PCB remediation projects and will create an individualized plan to cost-effectively remove and dispose PCBs.
