Ultra High Pressure (40,000 PSI) Water Jetting
UHP vacuum shrouded robot removing paint from the bottom of a ship in dry dock.
Our well trained technicians employ a variety of UHP water jetting machinery including open lance guns, hand-held units, and automatic and robotic devices to eliminate both visible (rust nodules, paint chips, etc.) and invisible surface contaminants (salts, oils, and chemical contamination) from an array of substrates leaving the surface totally clean, dry, and ready for immediate re-coating. Any surface contamination can lead to premature coating failure.
Yankee is proud to be at the forefront of efficient, economical and environmentally responsible work procedures to assist our diverse customers in achieving their varying objectives. Many of our water jetting systems are used in conjunction with HEPA-filtered vacuum technology to ensure complete containment of all toxic waste and debris.
Our proprietary robotic "Hydro-Spider" unit harnesses the power to capture, filter, and recycle blast water for reprocessing, significantly reducing hazardous waste stream and disposal costs without compromising the environment. The “Hydro-Spider” provides a one-step process that eliminates human exposure to dangerous toxins and the need for scaffolding or negative pressure enclosure.
UHP water jetting is:
Safe & Environmentally Friendly - with no dust or emissions and is approved for use in explosion proof areas
Economical – reduces maintenance, labor, hazardous waste stream & disposal costs
Versatile – offers unlimited applications for a wide range of industries and surfaces
Powerful – ideal for precision cold cutting of countless materials including steel and concrete
